Principal’s Letter         

My greatest desire as the Principal at Pacific Harbor Christian School is to see God receive honor and glory through our school. In an effort to attain this goal, our theme for the 2008-2009 school year is “Pursuing Excellence to Bring Glory to God” based on the Bible verse, Colossians 3:23, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men”. In today’s busy world mediocrity and doing what one needs to do to get by have become the norm. But we know that God did not create us to be mediocre, He has called us to be people of excellence and integrity, a beacon of light in our community and in the world. God has given PHCS a challenge this year to pursue excellence in everything that we do, to role model this pursuit of excellence to our students, and to challenge them to do the same!

At Pacific Harbor Christian School, our primary goal is to provide an excellent academic program that is Biblically based, in a safe Christian environment. We believe there are several components in attaining this goal and in equipping every student to be successful leaders in a challenging world. We firmly believe that it is our responsibility to partner with the family to support each child in reaching their fullest potential spiritually, academically, socially, and physically. We also want to prepare each student to become responsible citizens and devoted servants of Jesus Christ in every area of their life.

The only way that a school can provide an excellent education is by providing excellent teachers and staff. We have dedicated Christian teachers and staff who love the children and have made a commitment to live their life as a role model to our children which brings glory to God. The teachers make it a priority to provide a well rounded educational experience through planning engaging lessons, supplementing curriculum with creative strategies and tools, and meeting the needs of each child on an individual basis.
